I am alive!

Hello! Sorry for the delay. We are back from our vacation, but we came back with a bug. So I am rushing a bit to catch up today. I thought I would share another card seeing as I don't have any layouts I can share until Monday.
I am loving these Hambly rub-ons for cards! It makes the whole card concept seem so much easier! BTW, have you seen the new punches from Fiskars? You can put a window anywhere you want on a page. I am thinking this would be a fabulous addition to my Christmas list ;)

Thanks for stopping in!

Truck wash

Hello! This is the last of my programmed posts. I am probably itching to get online about now and to check out what is new and wonderful, and to visit my favourite spots.

Our little guy knows how to be messy. Funny enough, he has little interest in being cleaned up most of the time.

That's the last of the K&C0mpany frames. I enjoyed these more than I thought I would. The background is more Crate Paper from the Restoration line.

Thanks for stopping in! Have a great day.

Pebbles Inc. *New Arrival*

Hello! I have a project up at the Pebbles blog. There is a darling new line called 'New Arrival' that has both a boy and a girl version. The bonus with this line is that about half of the patterned paper is embossed, adding some great texture and dimension.

The embellies that come with the line are all dimensional with a little glitter on top. Be sure to head over to the Pebbles blog and check out what Melinda has also created with this line.

Thanks for stopping in!

Fairy fast

Hello! Just a quick note to let you know that I am offline for about a week for some much needed family time. I do apologize for not getting back to you or leaving comments for the next bit. I do have a couple of posts planned though, so do come back ;)

Fairies. They are wonderful. They flit about and change the world, but even fairies need to stop for lunch!

As you can see, it is important to leave the wings on during mealtime. There really is too much to get done and getting undressed just doesn't make the list! I really enjoyed using this line of Sassafras. Very fun. I have also been using butterflies a lot lately... I didn't think that I would ever enjoy them as much as I do.

Hope you are having a great day! Cheers!

A gift of time

Hello! I saw this week's sketch at Creative Scrappers and I knew I had to play along! A fun sketch and perfect for my style.
Of course, I had to add a second pic. Love these pics of my brother and the kids.

I have to admit that the sepia tint in the pics was a total fluke. I am not sure that I could reproduce it, but I will be trying (other than in processing after the fact).

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you find some scrappy time this weekend. Cheers!

Drive by post...

Hello! It is a busy life right now. I thought I would quickly post one of the cards I have created. I figured it would be good to 'practice' seeing as I find them so challenging and time consuming! (All hail you awesome card-makers!)

Loving those Hambly rub-ons! Thanks for stopping in!

Relax

Good day! It's a beautiful sunny Thanksgiving day. Hope you are having a good one! A quick share today. The pic is a little washed out, it's just been so sunny lately ;) I am not complaining! Love these shots of Evelyn. She was just enjoying the quiet and the sun. The cut away on the SC paper was perfect to keep for this!

Love the chipboard out by Maya Road these days. Loads of fun shapes to work with!

I have lots of pages to share, and yes even a couple of cards. I have submitted everything under the sun, and I am hoping against hope to get picked up. I have to wait to see if anything is picked up and when/if I can share. (Trying to be optimistic!). Hope you have a fantastic day! Off to sneak in a little creative time...

Thanks for stopping in!

Decor8

Are you done work yet? I am and it's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, which means three days at home. Hooray!

Today I have my most recent project to share for Pebbles Inc. We were asked to create something for home decor. I thought a wreath for the door might be nice. Perfect for this weekend!

I rolled squares on the diagonal, punched and inked leaves. It only took a little orange to give the wreath more of a fall feel. Be sure to head over to the blog and check out what Lisa and Samantha have created for your viewing pleasure.

Back to basics!

Hello! I thought I would move back to my basic design preference. Helps to shake up the creative juices. I love white space and simplicity. I also used rub-ons. I never use rub-ons ;) I liked it!

Our little lady helping us problem solve through cleaning off some of the extra sand. We didn't think she would enjoy buckets of water being dumped on her, but offered that an a solution herself. Fine with us! Of course, I took pics!

The blue background is such a nice blue. Love the contrast with red. The alpha are older Jenni Bowlin but I have always loved them and I am glad to have kept them to use.

Thanks so much for stopping in! Have a good one!

Making any cards?

Yesterday was world card making day. A whole day and another excuse to play with paper! Fun! So yesterday, I was at Scrappin' Great Deals and all the design divas were on hand to teach a new technique. I worked with mist (of course). It was great! This weekend Studio Calico has challenges and prizes all weekend.

I have a little favour to ask of you. If you head over to the Studio Calico blog and leave a comment and let them know I sent you (my username is Saracicle). We'll both be entered for the chance to win a full year of kits! You can always drop me an email and I can put a referral in for you too (we are allowed to be referrer and referee). Thanks!

I thought I would share a couple of the cards I created for the challenges too!

Be kind, I am not a card maker by any stretch. I am far more comfortable in the layout department. Heck even OTP is easier for me than cards. I could have made at least two layouts in the time it took me to make these cards. LOL! The prizes are too wonderful, how could I pass up a chance at them?

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Scrappin' Great Deals October Kit

Good day! It's a new month and a lovely new kit is available at Scrappin' Great Deals. Here's a look at the kit:

I don't have too many pics of the kids at Hallowe'en but I thought these ones suited the kit perfectly! Our little guy wore that dog outfit for weeks afterwards!

I wanted to show you a layout using themed paper but not a themed page. It was lots of fun to use the bright colours and to apply the current trend of grids.

It was great to be able to use some of the little pics I have of my family! Hope you enjoy the kit! Head over to Lori's blog and check out what she created this month!

Thanks so much for stopping in! Have a great day.
