Felt Frenzy at *Pebbles Inc*

Happy Wednesday! Welcome to felt frenzy at Pebbles Inc. this week! Our assignment was to make a creation using one of the packages of felt embellishments.

The felt embellishments are so sweet and there's lots of great designs to choose from. I was inspired by the name of the felt houses 'Home Sweet Home' and decided to create a couple of cards with the idea of home in mind.

(The little birds are cut out from the cutaway strip of Delignt for the Happy-Go-Lucky line.) I used bits from 3 different lines in these cards, which tells you how easy they are to co-ordinate! Be sure to stop by the blog and check out all of the fabulous projects created by the Design team.

Thanks for stopping in!

Creative Scrappers #153

Good day! The sun is finally out! Can you tell I was wishing for sunshine when I created this page?

Today's fun sketch is brought to you by Michelle Fowler: (love the misty bits!)
Here's my take on the sketch:

Our girl when she was two. Running free at her Grandma's house. Love this exclusive paper by Cosmo Cricket for Studio Calico. Yet another time I am kicking myself for not getting more. Mind you, I really have enough supplies to use already ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to head over to Creative Scrappers to check out all the other wonderful takes on this sketch!

My Girl

Hello! The long weekend is here! Any good plans? We need to look at bicycles for the little guy and everyone needs new running shoes. Yup, sounds expensive to me too! There will also be an egg hunt, weather dependent, of course.

A page to share with you. This is one of those pages that I had planned in my head for quite some time, so it came together in less than hour (this is unusual for me ;).

This pic of Miss E was taken on the fly. I was photographing some layouts and she decided to join me. I just happened to turn and hit the button. I really need more accidents like this one ;) This picture captures our little girl, just being herself. Hair flying, sweet smiles and of course the fancy, red velvet Christmas dress on (in April).

Thanks for stopping in! Have a great day!

PS -I am super excited about my new blinkie ;)

You can fly!

Good morning! I hope you've having a good weekend. I was up too late last night scrapping, but you know I was having fun! The calls are starting for next winter already. I am just getting into the swing of scrapping sunny pages and now there are requests for winter pages! Anyone else have problems scrapping out of season?

Speaking of sunshine, we could really use some around here! This next page, I was looking for a sunshine of sorts when I discovered my 'Going Places' cartridge had one. I need to pay more attention to my Cricut ;)

These pictures are actually from last Thanksgiving. I have loads of great/fun pictures from that day. It was an all around fun family day! Too bad the undertow was so bad that the kids had to wear their lifejackets all day. Better safe than sorry! This page was created using my Up the Street kit. I misted the center piece of the sun with a little mist to give some contrast.

Thanks for stopping in! Have a great day!

Just truckin' along

Hello! Happy Wednesday! Only a couple more days of work to go until the weekend. I love weekends. So it's no surprise that I also love long weekends ;)

Today's page is about our little guy playing at the beach. Believe it or not, every year we spend a day, maybe two, at the beach over the Thanksgiving weekend (Canadian). It has been warm enough to swim and play in the water for the last couple of years.

I have picked up a number of things from Elle's Studio along the way. Love her tags and journaling spots! The shipping charges are super reasonable too!

Thanks for stopping in! Have a great day!

Spring is in the air! *Pebbles Inc*

Good morning! This week's theme up at the Pebbles blog is 'Spring is in the air'! Well, spring is really lacking around here. Snow and rain and bleh! So I thought I would create a little home decor to encourage spring along ;)

I picked up a wooden picture frame at my local craft store and used the Happy Go Lucky line to decorate it. The frame is nice and thick, so I can add some eye screws and hang this on the front door. It also came will a little stand, so I could put it up on the little dresser just inside our front door (the frame measures 8.5"x 6.25").

As you can see, I cut up the border sticker and used the clouds individually. I inked around the heart blending it dark to light, and around the blue pp using Broken China Ranger ink. The green edge was inked using Ranger in Peeled Paint. The ink matches this paper line so well! Be sure to head over to the Pebbles blog and check out all the other spring projects posted this week!

Thanks for stopping in! Hope you have a great day!

Creative Scrappers #151

Hello! I have a page up for Creative Scrappers today. Nicole Nowosad created this great graphic sketch for us to play with!
Here's my take on the sketch (Rather take 2, I submitted my take to Kristine without the blue, and it seemed stark. So I added the blue and am much happier with the result. )

It's true about skating. Skating is very popular around here. It's almost impossible to get ice time for all the hockey teams, so there are only a few public skates available every week and they are very, very busy!

There's a great prize up for grabs generously sponsored by Scrap That!

Thanks so much for stopping in! Have a great day!

Full on Giggle Puss (and a winner)

Hello! Happy Monday. One last layout to share from my Up the Street scrapbook kit. The banner paper from Basic Grey is really sweet. I think it could match just about anything.

Our little lady at her best. She's always full of giggles! She's actually lying down in the wagon in the backyard. We could spend hours wandering around the backyard, pulling toys and snacks around in circles.

Thanks for your entries for my RAK! The winner is:
Congrats Tania! I will drop you an email!

Thanks for stopping in and thanks again for all nice comments! Have a great night!
