Creative Scrappers #180

Hello! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! This is my last post for Creative Scrappers. A lovely sketch by Kristine Davidson!
I thought I would scrap something that was not kid related. That's my new goal; scrap a page every month that is not related to the kids ;) Here's my take:

A super big thanks to Kristine and the CS team for making this such a fun term! Be sure to head over to the Creative Scrappers blog and see the other takes on this sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping in! Have a nice day!

Feeling monochromatic...

Well, I was last night anyways ;) I think it's all the 'work' I have on the go and the super limited time for crafting. Gotta hate when life is in the way of fun things! LOL!

Off I go to clean house (and maybe squeeze in another card? Maybe something more colourful ;)

Thanks for swinging by! Have a great night!

Mix and Match Monday *Pebbles Inc*

Happy Monday! I had a very fun assignment for this week -Mix and Match. I had the freedom to create anything; I just needed to mix the lines. I had a great time coming up with this layout:

I love how well all the lines mix! I will admit, that I have been waiting rather impatiently to have an opportunity to put this calendar paper to use and I am glad for the chance to use it! (Isn't my girl cute too?)

That tag? From the newest Pebbles release With Love. It's a Valentine's theme with lots of pink and red, paired with kraft. Completely fantastic!

Be sure to head over to the Pebbles blog and check out the wonderful creations this week. Don't forget that every Friday there's a chance to comment to win some product!

Thanks so much for visiting! Have a great day!

Practice makes perfect

Hello! The title could apply to both swimming and pages.. This is one of those pages that I was just 'creating' and I had a lot of fun mixing up the paper. I was aiming for a slightly different design with three pictures... (meaning getting away from a page with three pictures through the middle and embellishments all around them :)

I like that it turned out so differently. I am not sure what the plan was, but I had fun!

Thanks so much for stopping in! Have a nice weekend!

Fabulous Fall *Pebbles Inc*

Hello! Happy fall! This week's theme on the Pebbles blog is fabulous fall and we were asked to create something with a fall theme. I happen to love fall wreaths, and seeing as I created a door wreath last year, I decided to create a smaller wreath this year.

The leaves were created using Spellbinders dies and layered on using Scor Pal tape and 3D foam dots for some dimension. I also put the flat leaves thorough my embossing machine to give them a little more texture.

Be sure to head over to the Pebbles blog to check all the lovely fall creations this week!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great fall day!

Creative Scrappers #178

Happy Sunday! It's that time again, another lovely sketch is up for inspiration! The sketch was created by Nicole Nowosad:

Here's my take on the sketch:

Instead of flowers, I decided to use tags. Loved the combo of the stitching and the mist! Check out all the other takes on the Creative Scrappers blog.

On a personal note, I did not apply to be back on the team for the next term. I have genuinely loved being on this team. I am sad to go, but I have other fun things coming up that will limit my time (and for me, it is really important to do a good job!). So congrats to the returning four members (all talented ladies) and I can't wait to see who else made the team!

Thanks so much for coming by! One more sketch left ;)

My beautiful blur

Hello! A layout to share today. This one was made using more of the fall kit from Up the Street Scrapbooking. The rub-on butterflies are by 7gypsies and they are beautiful. I used them on paper, vellum and the canvas tag. Smoothed on like butter!

I don't often scrap black and white pictures, but I love these pics and wanted a different take from the colour version. (Love that the kit comes with Elle's tags!)

Thanks so much for stopping in! Have a great day!

Cup cards to go!

Hello! The mail finally decided to put my Cup Cards to Go kit in my mailbox this week (only two weeks late!) It was a wonderful kit! Great colours and a fabulous mix of embellishments. I created seven cards, so easily!

You can check out the design team gallery here. Here are a few of the cards I created:

This next card was created based on the monthly sketch. You can see the card gallery for the sketch here. This is my take on the sketch:

Many thanks to Cassonda for this fabulous opportunity! Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!

PS -The rub-ons are great! I think that I have been converted :)

Nothing like a good stick

Hello! Have you noticed? I have created a couple of pages with 'stick' in the title. I think it reflects on the fact that our son has an obsession with sticks. Yes, we provide balls, buckets, shovels, a bat, a tennis racket and hockey sticks... Still, it's all about that piece of tree ;)

This layout was created using the fall kit from Up the Street Scrapbooking. I have created four layouts and three cards and have so much left! It is such a great kit! Who says you can't have swirls and pearls on a boy layout :)

Thanks for stopping in! Have a wonderful day!

Creative Scrappers #174

Hello! Happy Sunday! Another great sketch to share. This one is full of white space and lots of room for interpretation!
Here's my take on the sketch:

The title was hubs idea ;) The pics are from our camping trip and the kids are drinking hot chocolate before bed. It was the first time all day they were remotely quiet. Miss E was looking at these pics and asking when we'll go again. Fall is falling here and it's chilly, so not for a while yet!

Be sure to check out the Creative Scrappers blog and see the other takes on the sketch. This month's sponsor is Boys Rule Scrapbook kits. All you have to do is play along with one of this month's sketch to be entered for a chance at a fabulous prize!

Thanks so much for stopping in! Have a great day!
