Happy Birthday (card)

Good day! I had to follow up that last Pebbles layout with a card. I just couldn't resist. Besides, it's always good to use up scraps, right? (Please ignore the reflection on the letters, the embossing powder is very shiny!)

I used metallic teal Zing powder and it matched perfectly! Sometimes it's just fun to play with paper...

Thanks for stopping in! Have a great day!

The Big 2 *Pebbles Inc*

Hello! This week on the Pebbles blog we are having the fun featuring the Hip Hip Hooray collection. A beautiful, brightly coloured line that's easy to use for so many topics, not just birthdays :) I have a layout to share.

Our little guy had the whole candle bit figured out pretty quick. Just surprised us a little when he got so close to the flame ;) I used some of the banner flags to create the 'Happy Birthday' badge. The giant number 2 was cut out using my Cricut Create (portrait, 8 inches).

Thanks for stopping in! Have a great day!

Love you (card)

Hmm... Time flies when you're having fun... Or chasing after two very busy little people. I managed to slow down and create a couple of cards last night. I have one to share with you today.

I was tidying up my stash for the garage sale last weekend and found all sorts of goodies. I really need to put a few more fun things to use!

Thanks for stopping in!

Welcome Spring *Pretty Little Studios*

Hello! I have a little tutorial up on the Pretty Little Studios blog. I used some of the Vintage Little Man tags to create some flowers and here's the card I came up with:

I am so impressed with the packaging that the tags come in! I used the packaging from some of the tags (black and white print background) to help create the base of my card. The packaging is all so pretty!

Thanks for stopping in! Have a great weekend!

Free classes!

The headmistress at Miss Art's would like to invite you to our biggest free class event yet!  Beginning on Friday,  March 23rd, you will have 3 days to check out three of our most popular classes for free, no subscription needed.

Three of our 201 class have nearly completed their 12 months of availability, and each of these amazing classes deserves a farewell party!  The Secret Garden with Stacy Cohen, B. You! with Heidi Kelley, and All About Me with Bethany Kartchner have all been around for nearly a year, and will soon be removed from our class schedule to make room for some amazing new classes.  That means that this weekend is your chance to check them out one last time, for FREE!  If you've been thinking about joining our student body, consider this your campus tour, led by three amazing teachers. When you visit us on Friday, head to the "Classes" page to view this weekend's free classes.  We'll see you there!

You can check them all out here: Miss Art's Papercrafting classes.
Have fun!

Look out! *Pretty Little Studios*

Good day! I had a page up at Pretty Little Studios yesterday. It's my first assignment from them and the page is based on a sketch (love sketches!). Here's the sketch provided:

Here's my take:

I used the 8x8 diecut from the Hopscotch collection and layered on a few of the different tags for a fun little boy page! (The Celebration Stars tags -well you're going to be seeing them in many upcoming assignments!).

Thanks for stopping in! Enjoy your day!

Joy ride

Hello! Blogger giving anyone else any troubles? Ah well, it's bound to happen! I have a page to share today. I check out Creative Scrappers weekly and loved sketch #200 this week by Kristine. So I decided to play along and here's my take:

The new My Mind's Eye lines are wonderful this season! I didn't want to use a stark white page as the background, but I am still a little unsure about what I have chosen. LOL! This also something that is bound to happen :)

Thanks for stopping in! Have a great day!

Thank you (card)

Hello! Quick drive by post :) I have loads on the go, but I can't share yet! A card I pulled together while I was sorting bits out for an upcoming scrappy garage sale.

The butterfly is cut out from Crate Paper and a new die company that I recently stumbled onto called Cheery Lynn Designs. So, so cute!

Sweet little you

One last page to share from the March kit at Up the Street. I added the wooden alpha from last months kit as I am currently enjoying mixing alpha so much!

Don't you just love the wooden heart! A local woodworker created them for the kit. So cool! How could I resist such a sweet face? (Killer long eyelashes too!)

Thanks for stopping in! Hope you have a wonderful day!

For all the things you do (card)

Good day! How about a card from the March Kit at Up the Street?

Well, I do admit, that I have not really caught on to the doilie trend, but I do think that I might give it another try. Love all the detail it gives without any real work ;)

Thanks for stopping in!

Grade 1- *Up the Street kit*

Hello! Happy weekend! I have anothe layout to share from the March kit from Up the Street Scrapbooking. I decided to try scrapping a few B&W photos this time around. I do believe that life is colourful, so I tend to only scrap colour pics but it is good to mix it up every now and then!

We received this letter from Miss E in the mail. Her teacher helped all the kids in class write a letter and mail it. Best mail ever :) The B&W photo was used to help the letter stand out a little more. It is a simple page, but I am pleased with the outcome.

Thanks so much for visiting! Have a great weekend!

Tree huggers -Up the Street March kit

Hello! Can you believe that it's already March? And we had a whole extra day to get there! Sigh.

Up the Street Scrapbooking has a lovely new kit coming available today. Lots of the new My Mind's Eye lines involved!

I added in the wooden alpha from last month's kit. It fits perfectly with the colour scheme. I find these kits are great overall for building on the previous month. I used my Cricut to cut the tag. I am really looking forward to seeing what Lesley created this month.

Thanks for stopping in!
